Winter wedding Hanneke Frankema created an innovative and surprising bridal bouquet in terms of style and materials. As a basis for this bridal design Hanneke chose a sleeve. Hanneke: "a socket provides opportunities for innovative bridal creations. A bride can wear a socket with two hands. This creates a surprising effect, so that the bridal bouquet is being done full justice here."
The socket that Hanneke uses, is put up with a wire structure. The wire construction contains of hundreds of styrofoam balls. These balls create a winter and spatial effect, making it look like snow descending onto the bouquet. The steel construction creates many options to use and process the flowers. This allows multiple techniques, so different effects can be made on the same substrate. In achieving this bridal bouquet, Hanneke has chosen for stringing and pasting flowers.
Anthurium Lumina is laced in the construction. Because of its subtle flowers and the contrasting white and purple flower colours, Lumina fits perfectly in this creation. Moreover, Lumina is a strong flower, so it is perfectly suited for bridal creations. Besides white, Hanneke chooses for shades of purple in this creation. "Purple provides a wonderful effect on the white background colour and purple will make this creation alive."
Next to Anthurium Lumina, Hanneke has used Tillandsia Mora and Lily Curie. Tillandsia Mora is attached to the creation by wire. Hanneke chose Mora, because of the subtle flower shape. These subtle shapes highlight the bridal bouquet Lily Curie finally, fits with its pink-purple colour and white petals perfect in this creation. Moreover, Curie has a subtle fragrance, so the bridal bouquet smells lovely. The petals are glued to the styrofoam balls. |
